McMahon holds a BA degree in Business/Marketing from Oregon State University (1988) where he was a two-year letterman in Soccer and was recently recognized as one of Portland's "40 under 40" business leaders by the Portland Business Journal. He is a board member of Aisle7, and has served as President of the Forest Park Elementary School Foundation since 2007.

He was most recently the founder and Principal of Victory Solutions, LLC and has played significant management roles with FreeRange Communications, Unicru, Turner Broadcasting, The Miami Heat, Pittsburgh Penguins, Portland Trailblazers, Katz Communications and University of Portland.
