Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Chernoff combines the perspective of a practicing clinician with decades of biopharma industry experience. His medical practice has centered around infectious diseases, with a concentration on AIDS research. He is a recipient of the National AIDS Caregiver Award from the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which recognized his contribution to the development of viral load assays used to monitor disease progression and response to therapy in AIDS patients. Dr. David Chernoff spent two years as an entrepreneur-in-residence and one year as an operating partner at the venture firm TPG, where he was actively involved in due diligence and in incubating new companies.
