Dr. Barnes has done extensive study on Exhaled Breath Condensate and is a member of the EBC Taskforce. Dr. Barnes holds patents in the UK for methods of diagnosing, monitoring, and treating pulmonary disease. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2007, and is the first respiratory researcher to be elected to that post in more than 150 years. Dr. Barnes has won numerous awards for his scientific achievements including the UK's most cited scientist for the 1990's.
